Building Project

Building Project

For some time now we have needed more storage space as our socks seem to be taking over!

We decided to erect a building at the entrance to our paddock for storage, working and all things alpaca related. This has been a long project as Paul wanted to do as much himself as he could. The building was designed to look like a row of stables and so that it can be converted to stables if required. After planning was agreed the groundworks commenced. As we are not able to work on it full time, it is taking a while. At present we are 2 years in and it seems most of the work is underground. However, we now have a roof and windows and the doors should arrive in the next couple of weeks so we will be weatherproof.

Once the building is up and running it will make so much difference to us as when we go to events we will just be able to park in front and load and unload with ease.

Janet will have a work room which will have floor to ceiling shelving and fully labelled so that finding a walking sock in denim blue in extra small size is really quick and easy.

There will be a loo and a small kitchen area so that when we have visitors everything is to hand. Alpaca information will be dotted around and it will be our base.

There are some photos of the build as it has progressed so far and watch this space for progress and completion.
