Our Full on Fleece Day with Visit to Clivewood Alpaca Mill is a chance to really get hands on with fleece and to learn how to skirt it; whether for processing on for entering an alpaca fleece show.
We learn how important our paddock management is through to harvesting our annual crop of fleece on shearing day.
Get excited about what you can do with your alpaca fleece or just come for an informative day out. Guaranteed lots of friendly alpaca chat too.

(Sat Nav should bring you fairly close). We are almost opposite a PGL Activity Centre. If the entrance to PGL is on your left, shortly afterwards, before going up the hill, take the first right, not signposted, just a sign saying not suitable for motor vehicles. Then take the first left (our drive is set back, but has Old Russet Barn and Titus Alpacas on the gate) in front of the pond and drive round the pond up to the top of our drive. Turn right at the top of the drive towards the house to park and the alpaca barn is on the left of the top of the drive.
What to Bring
Normal footwear for indoors and wellies/boots for the skirting in the barn. The skirting session is in a barn with Yorkshire boarding, so can be chilly. Please dress appropriately and remember to bring any fleeces that you wish to be skirted.
Workshops are kept small to ensure attendees have time to skirt as many fleeces as possible and ask lots of questions in a friendly and informal atmosphere.
